Bioreactors for anti-Covid vaccine
02/03/2021
These are the systems needed to independently produce doses of the anti-Covid vaccine.
Bioreactors can be of different volume sizes: about 8o centimeters high and 5o wide, for R&D purposes, or as large as a room or much bigger for industrial productions.
A bioreactor is a vessel in which a chemical process is carried out which involves organisms or biochemically active substances derived from such organisms. This process can either be aerobic or anaerobic. Basically, it reproduces natural processes stimulating them, speeding them up and controlling its living parameters. Each system must therefore be calibrated at certain pressure and temperature.
