Solaris at the 1st Malaysia Cultivated Meat Conference

The first edition of "Malaysia Cultivated Meat Conference" had just finished.

Organized by Cell Agritech and Bioeconomi Corporation had the goal of bringing together all government agencies related to cellular agriculture, food manufactures, biotech industries investor, universities, conformity assessment organizations, researchers, polytechnics, people in cellular agriculture, supply chain and future food vanguard who desire to deeper and set up in a growing market.

"This conference was excellent in terms of networking. It has also a unique format and structure with a round table session with below topics". 

The meetings covering three different key topics: Cost Driver of Cultivated Meat and Solutions to Minimize Production Costs, Cultivated Food Regulations around the world and Trends and Predictions of Cultivated Meat/Seafood, and solutions to Minimize Production costs and Halal Cultivated Meat/Seafood. 

We enjoyed participating in it and sharing our valuable ideas. 

Moreover, during the second day of conference different arguments and topics have been developed: Agriculture Industry in malaysia, Facilitation & Services from Malaysian bioeconomy Development Corporation, Introduction to the Cellular Agriculture Industry, Cultivated meat Regulatory landscape, Trends and Predictions of cultivated Meat/Seafood, Food Safety R&D & Toold to support Novel Foods development, General Food and Novel Food testings and several other. 

During the open ceremony was made a huge public announcement: Bio-based Accelerator company and Cell Agritech will set up the first main cultivated meat production facility in Penang by 2025. 

"The development of cultivated meat technology in malaysia promises to create job opportunities and revenue while addressing national challenges such as food security, health management and climate change.

Overall, the Malaysia Government will encourage Alternative proteins start up and the bilateral ties with Singapore, as they have limitations with manufacturing facilities due to small land mass. 

This historical development can increase and open up opportunities related to the Biotechnology fields of application. This new scenario can aim to develop a food ecosystem for future high-value products using advanced technologies such as cellular agriculture for artificial meat, marine and aquaculture products.
